Jake brake not working on high.

Well, I guess I need to be a bit more consistent in this thread so I can get my my issues resolved! ;^) Good to read other things that are getting resolved in here, anyway.Oct 3, 2013 · Hi, I have a Peterbilt 387 with a C15 500HP single turbo.. and the jake brake worked but it was very weak.. then it stopped working period. I took off the valve covers, checked the wiring and put a new tune up kit into the brake. When the engine is started and I press down on the solenoid button, only the middle solenoid works. The reason I say this is because if the pedal is going to 3%, and the clutch switch is closed, the engine brake should work.

I'm guessing when you say the motor don't cut out that you mean the injectors keep firing. Also if your rockers are working properly that should create at least a slight stumble.
