What I did- put it in neutral on flat level ground, hit the 4wd button and now I have three lights blinking at me- 4hi 4lo and center locking diff. Drove it slow, forward, reverse, hit 65, drove it 10 miles, shifted through all the gears and NOTHING has changed. I should clarify; that 4LO button is non-functional and feels the same whether the 4WD light is blinking or solid. What many of us originally took to be a vacuum line is actually a breather line, terminating on the driver's side of the engine compartment, next to the breather cap for the transfer case.
