Regional Center . The state of California has 21 Regional Centers that provide specialized services for people with developmental disabilities. Assesment and diagnosis, counseling, family support, advocacy for legal protection and many more services are available for individuals and their families.

The Missouri Division of Developmental Disabilities was established in 1974 to support the unique needs of individuals, family members and caregivers who experience a developmental disability (DD). The Division understands that individuals and those who support them, have diverse strengths, abilities, needs and challenges.Our Intake and Eligibility Bureau manages the Central Registry for individuals waiting for services. DDSD also provides several State General Funded Services.Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that can cause significant social, communication and behavioral challenges.
